Terms of service
Last updated: 14 October 2026
Draft, pending legal review. This page describes how AI Support Chat works today, but it hasn't been reviewed by a lawyer yet and may change before launch.
These terms are an agreement between you and [legal entity name and address] ("AI Support Chat", "we", "us") for using AI Support Chat, an AI chatbot that answers visitors of your website from your own content. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.
1. Who can use it
AI Support Chat is for businesses and professionals. You must be at least 18 and able to agree to these terms for yourself or the organization you represent. You sign in with a Google account and are responsible for what happens in your account.
2. Plans and payment
- There is no free plan. Plans, prices and limits are shown on our pricing page and may change; we'll tell you before a price change affects you.
- Polar is our merchant of record: you buy the subscription from Polar, which handles payment, invoices and sales tax. Polar's own terms apply to the payment.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until you cancel. You can cancel anytime in the billing portal; your plan keeps working until the end of the period you paid for.
- Payments are non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise.
3. Usage limits
Each plan includes a number of messages a month, bots, pages per bot and file uploads. A message is one visitor question answered by AI. When your messages are used up, the chat shows a contact form instead of answering until the next period or until you upgrade. To protect the service, each bot also has a daily safety cap and visitors have rate limits.
4. The free demo
The demo on our website reads a small sample of a website and answers a few questions, without an account. Only enter a website you own or are allowed to use this way. Demos are limited per visitor and per day, are deleted after 24 hours, and may be paused at any time.
5. Your content
- You keep all rights to the content your bots learn from: your website, files, text and Q&A pairs.
- You give us permission to read, store and process that content, and to send it to our processors (such as Anthropic, OpenAI and Resend), only to provide the service to you.
- You confirm you have the right to use that content, and that the websites you add are yours or you are authorized to have them read. We respect robots.txt.
6. AI-generated answers
Answers are written automatically by an AI model from your content. They can be incomplete or wrong. The bot is instructed to answer only from your content and to say when it doesn't know, but you are responsible for your content and for reviewing how your bot answers. The bot must not be relied on for medical, legal or financial advice. Tell your visitors that they are chatting with an AI, for example in your own privacy policy.
7. Your visitors' data
For the conversations and leads your bots collect, you are the controller and we process them on your behalf, as described in our data processing note and privacy policy.
8. Acceptable use
Don't use AI Support Chat to break the law, to collect data you aren't allowed to, to publish harmful or deceptive content, to attack or overload the service or other websites, or to get around its limits. We may suspend accounts or demos that do.
9. The service
We work to keep AI Support Chat available and secure, but we can't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may improve and change features over time.
10. Ending
You can stop using the service and delete your bots at any time; deleting a bot deletes its data. We may end or suspend your account if you seriously break these terms. [Describe what happens to account data after closure, matching the privacy policy.]
11. Liability
To the extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is", and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law. [Liability and indemnity clauses to be confirmed by a lawyer.]
12. Changes and law
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you by email before the change takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of [country], and disputes go to the courts of [place], unless the law where you live says otherwise.
